In addition to continuing to improve the quality of conventional pumps and expand the variety of specifications, in particular, the need for pumps to transport corrosive materials is increasing, such as ethylene cracking units in ethylene production, polyethylene devices and polypropylene devices; PTA devices(fine terephthalic acid), polyester devices and polyester spinning devices, acrylonitrile and lipid feeding devices in chemical fiber production. Therefore, we must work hard to develop corrosion resistant pump technology.
At present, corrosion resistant pump materials are still a large number of black metal materials, high nickel alloy materials, in the future, more requirements for the use of titanium, zirconium, tantalum and other excellent corrosion resistant materials, as well as the development of non-metallic materials such as ceramics, fiberglass and graphite materials.
China's petrochemical industry will have a major development during the Tenth Five-Year Plan period. Production technology and scale are in line with the international level. The two major groups of Sinopec and PetroChina invest nearly 100 billion yuan each year, and the demand for petrochemical equipment will be great.
Petrochemical pumps are also the most used rotating equipment for petrochemical production. Their performance, quality, and life will have a great impact on petrochemical production and construction.
